NATA Exam 2025 : Overview, Schedule, Admit Card, & Important Dates
About NATA 2025
Candidates can take up to three sessions of NATA 2025. The best score out of the three will be used for the final result. Passing NATA 2025 is necessary for admission to BArch programs in Indian colleges. You can choose to appear in one, two, or all three exams. The following table shows key details about the NATA 2025 exam.
Since 2006, the Council of Architecture (CoA) has been organizing the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for students aiming to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture degree. To maintain quality standards, CoA introduced the CoA (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 1983, and later updated them in 2020 as the Council of Architecture (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 2020. These regulations, approved by the Central Government under the Architects Act, 1972, mandate that candidates must pass an Aptitude Test in Architecture, which can be either NATA or the architecture section of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), to secure admission to an architecture program.
Actual admissions are handled by the respective state or union territory authorities and institutions, based on a candidate’s valid NATA score and eligibility criteria set by CoA and the concerned authorities. Unlike typical entrance exams, NATA is unique as it evaluates candidates’ abilities through various testing methods designed to assess their architectural aptitude.
